Conference Assistant since 1983 and international conference
translator since 1985, I resumed schooling to take Translation
formally in 1986 and was awarded a scholarship for the
purpose in
1987 by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. I did my internship in
Medicine and Microbiology under a grant
from the Spanish National Institute of
Health (INSALUD). My expert's diploma for
Spanish was issued in 1990 and my diploma for French
in 1991.
I was in-house
translator for a financial services firm for one year and then went freelance after
being hand-picked by the Ministries of
Industry, Defence and Public Works as a
translation service provider. I joined
the EU Altener Project in 1996 and have
not stopped working in both the public
and private sectors ever since. I have provided regular services to the
Madrid Stock Exchange on a daily basis, and to the Office of
the Spanish Economic Vice President. I also
interpret in court and in specialised conferences.
